EMANCIPATION PARK

Emancipation Park was founded by formerly enslaved individuals who came together on Juneteencth 1872 & decided that they wanted a place to call their own.  Architects at Perkins & Will partnered with the City of Houston to redesign the park to honor the community's rich history.
